Help Wanted – Technical Specialist

The successful candidate must possess the following skills:

Customer relations and handling, data processing systems management, purchasing & operation of telephone & office systems, computer networks in a LAN and WAN environments, Network file servers, email systems, the entire operation of the internet and all of the potential it could provide, office automation software, a complete understanding of thermostats and HVAC equipment. The ability to create good analogies so non-technical people can understand you and everything you do. You must also be able to move heavy objects, especially fireproof file cabinets and boxes of computer paper. Knowledge of computer programming, security systems, drafting, building codes, landscape maintenance, pneumatics, hydraulics, accounting and general office procedures, meteorology and graphics design would be helpful.

Secondary requirements include:

Woodworking and carpentry, metalworking and fabrication, machine tool setup and operation, printed circuit board layout, fabrication and repair. Fire fighting, microwave theory and practice, acoustics design and construction, production techniques, television and telephone repair, experience in 2-way communications, theory and practice, diesel generator set knowledge, multitrack live mixdown, analog, plumbing, digital and microprocessor design and submarine repair, shoe repair, cellular phones, headphone repair, office machine ribbon changing, video conference equipment, photocopy analysis, clock and watch repair. Locksmithing skills, satellite downlink installation, operation and repair. Photography, videography and video editing an asset. Might be called upon for Mapping & Traffic reporting, production and other cross training. Pest control, flood control, counseling, scouting, cooking, budgeting and financial experience are needed.

You should be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, travel anywhere in the country on a moments notice not knowing when you will return, and expect to wear a cell phone and carry a laptop everywhere. The ability to work 36 hours a day is a MUST. All of the item above must be done within a very tight and restrictive budget that you have input to, but your input will not be considered when we give you your budget amount (if we ever tell you what it is). (NOTE: final budget amounts are not given ever before half way through the fiscal year.)

The ability to install all automotive accessories and repair anything automotive would be helpful.
